Paducah's Jackson Purchase Fraternal Order of Police Lodge has announced they will be conducting a telephone fundraiser in the Paducah area through April 15th.

With phone scams commonplace these days, the FOP has issued a press release to inform the public of the validity of the fundraiser.

Callers will inform everyone that they are calling on behalf of the organization. They will not ask for a credit card or bank account information. Any donations that are made can be picked up by a courier for the donor's convenience. Anyone approved to be a courier will have proper identification.

Donors may also mail a check to the lodge's address:
        ATTN: COPS & KIDS
        FOP LODGE #15
        P.O. BOX 208
        PADUCAH, KY 42002

Donations are tax-deductible, with proceeds to be used in the organization's charitable work within the community, including the “Cops & Kids” program.

Money raised will not be used to fund the FOP's operations or administrative budgets.

If you have any questions, comments, or complaints, President Paul Stevenson may be contacted by e-mail at pstevenson@paducahky.gov .
