Free COVID Testing Continues in Purchase District

WESTERN KENTUCKY - The Purchase District Health Department has arranged for more free COVID-19 testing in their 5-county area over the couple of weeks. 

Testing in Paducah had been offered up until Thanksgiving. Testing on Nov. 30 through Dec. 4 will be in Hickman, Fulton, and McCracken Counties. In the week of Dec. 7-10, testing will be available in Ballard and Carlisle Counties. 

The testing is for anyone over 12. It's free, and no proof of insurance is required. You do not have to have symptoms or a doctor’s order. Results will be available within a few days via text message or phone call. Walk-ups are accepted, but prior registration is preferred.

The pop-up sites will offer free drive-up testing at the following locations and times: 

Monday-Tuesday, Nov. 30-Dec. 1 from 9:30 am to 1 pm
Hickman County Health Clinic, 370 South Washington Street, Clinton

Wednesday, Dec. 2 from 9:30 am to 1 pm
Fulton County Health Clinic, 350 Browder Street, Fulton

Thursday, Dec. 3 from 9:30 to 2 pm
Fulton County Health Clinic, 402 Troy Avenue, Hickman

Friday, Dec. 4 from 9 am to noon
McCracken County Health Department, 916 Kentucky Avenue, Paducah

Monday-Tuesday, Dec. 7-8 from 9:30 am to 1 pm
Ballard County Health Clinic, 198 Bluegrass Drive, LaCenter

Wednesday-Thursday, Dec. 9-10 from 9:30 am to 1 pm
Bardwell Baptist Church, 323 Highway 51 North, Bardwell

Friday, Dec. 11 from 9 am to noon
McCracken County Health Department, 916 Kentucky Avenue, Paducah


If the test cannot be tolerated by those under the age of 18, the service may not be able to be provided and patients will be asked to follow-up with their primary care physician.
