By WestKyStar Staff
PADUCAH, KY - A fugitive from Michigan and two other men were arrested Tuesday after a traffic stop in McCracken County.

On Tuesday, A Sheriff's Deputy observed Jeffrey W. Ecklid of Parma, Michigan driving recklessly on John Puryear Highway.  A check of the registration plate showed the vehicle, a 2012 Ford F-150, was stolen from a U-Haul dealer in Jackson, MI.

After stopping the truck, Deputies arrested Ecklid and charged him with receiving stolen property over $10,000.00. Ecklid, who initially gave Deputies a false name, was found to be wanted out of Michigan on non-related felony charges and also had two misdemeanor warrants from Kentucky.

Two passengers in the vehicle, 23 year-old Brett Bernhardt of Paducah and 19 year old Jonathan Coleman of Jackson, MI were arrested on marijuana and drug paraphernalia charges.

All three men were lodged at the McCracken County Regional Jail.
