Renowned paranormal investigator and ghost hunter Patti Starr will visit WKCTC and McCracken County Library this week.

Starr, owner of Ghost Chasers International in Lexington, KY, will share her expertise in ghost hunting and read excerpts from her book, “Ghosthunting Kentucky,” in the Matheson Library on the WKCTC campus October 10. She will also present "Journey into the Spirit World" at the McCracken County Public Library on Thursday, October 11, at 7:00 pm in the 2nd Floor meeting room.

The presentation at WKCTC on October 10 will be held from 11:00 am to noon and is free and open to the public. Copies of the book will be available for purchase; and Starr will sign books following the presentation. “Fright foods” will be served during the event.

During the evening of October 10, Starr will teach a class on the first steps in her Ghost Hunting Certification Course in the Emerging Technology Center of WKCTC from 6:00-9:00 pm. Participants will learn the difference between spirits, ghosts and orbs, as well as learn the difference between the types of hauntings and how to conduct investigations on your own. Starr will discuss the ghost hunting equipment kit, how to use the basic equipment, and how to pick the best days to go ghost hunting based upon the moon, weather and more.

"Journey into the Spirit World" at the Library on October 11 at 7:00 pm will also highlight her experiences into the paranormal world, discuss equipment needed to investigate, and provide electronic voice phenomenon, pictures and evidence in ghost hunting. It is also free.
