By WestKyStar Staff
PADUCAH, KY - A boil water order is still in effect for the Hendron Water District.
Some residents and businesses in that part of McCracken County were experiencing low water pressure or lack of water Monday due to a water main break.
The problem has been fixed, but to ensure water quality, district personnel are flushing water lines and analyzing bacteriological samples to confirm the safety of the water. Until then, it is recommended that all water used for drinking or food preparation should be boiled for at least three minutes at a rolling boil.
Water district personnel estimate that the lab results will should be available soon, and they hope to lift the advisory by Wednesday morning.
