Houser Road Accident Sends Teen to Hospital

PADUCAH, KY - A McCracken County teen was injured in a one-car wreck in Paducah over the weekend. According to the McCracken County Sheriffs Department, the accident happened on Saturday around 11 am at 6555 Houser Road.

Deputies say, 17-year-old Keely Thompson of Paducah was traveling North on Houser Road in her 1998 Buick Century. She dropped off the right shoulder and was unable to regain control.

The vehicle struck a mailbox before colliding with a concrete culvert and side-swiping several trees.

Thompson was taken to Lourdes for minor, non-life threatening injuries.

The Hendron Fire Department, Mercy Regional Ambulance and Randy's Towing provided assistance at the scene.
