Indictments Lead to Drug Arrests

Jessi Crooks has been taken into custody. She was located at a Bridge St. business early Thursday afternoon in Paducah.
A McCracken County Grand Jury has indicted several individuals investigated by the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department for drug trafficking offenses. Three individuals, implicated in separate investigations, were taken into custody on Wednesday, March 13.
Detectives report that, early this year, an investigation began into cocaine trafficking involving Antonio Hunt and Victoria Buckingham of South 17th Street.
Hunt and Buckingham, both 37 years old, were located and arrested by sheriffs deputies on Wednesday. They were lodged in the McCracken County Jail for trafficking cocaine on warrants issued by the grand jury.
An additional investigation began into alleged trafficking of prescription medication by 29-year-old Karla Hessler of Ledbetter and 27-year-old Jessi Crooks of Paducah. Detectives determined that Hessler and Crooks were assisting each other in selling methadone from Crooks' Clarks River Rd. residence in Paducah. Hessler turned herself into law enforcement and bonded out of jail on a $10,000 property bond.
Crooks has recently been evicted from her residence and is actively hiding from law enforcement. The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department would appreciates assistance in locating her.
In an unrelated investigation, deputies arrived at the Hendricks Rd. home of 53-year-old Kathy Montgomery pursuant to an arrest warrant from a prior investigation involving alleged marijuana trafficking. Detectives searched Montgomery’s residence and reportedly located over a pound of marijuana, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and other evidence indicating illegal drug trafficking.
Montgomery was taken to the McCracken County Jail, charged with two counts of marijuana trafficking, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
