McCRACKEN COUNTY, KY - Two people were treated for injuries in separate vehicle accidents over the weekend in McCracken County.
The sheriff's office reports that 71-year-old Diana Lewis was driving south on Mayfield Metropolis Road shortly after 1 pm Saturday when she came to the road's intersection with Old Hwy 60.
After stopping at the intersection, she traveled across the road and into the path of 37-year-old Gina Harris, who was driving west on Old Hwy 60.
Lewis was taken to an area hospital by ambulance for pain in her back.
In a separate incident that occurred just before midnight Saturday, sheriff's deputies were sent to Reidland in response to a single vehicle accident on Watson Road.
Officers say 18-year-old Kendell B. Strait was driving north on Watson Road when she attempted to negotiate a sharp curve in the area of McIntosh Road. Strait lost control of her vehicle, ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree.
A 15-year-old juvenile was seated in the rear of Strait's vehicle and received non-life-threatening injuries. She was taken to a local hospital by a family member.
