Investigation Leads to Arrest of Two Paducah Men

MCCRACKEN COUNTY - A theft investigation has led to the arrest of two Paducah men.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, on Wednesday, deputies investigated the theft of an I-phone, smart tablet and firearm stolen from a home on Clinton Road. Deputies identified the suspect as 19-year-old Gabriel McGill, of Paducah.

McGill was found at a local hotel and interviewed. During the interview, deputies say McGill intentionally broke the stolen phone. McGill was arrested and taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail on charges of tampering with physical evidence, theft by unlawful taking – firearm and theft by unlawful taking- all other under $500.

As the investigation continued, deputies located 40-year-old Jason Moore, of Paducah, at his place of employment, located on Lone Oak Road. During questioning Moore admitted he had the firearm with him and deputies were able to recover it.

Deputies found that Moore was also in possession of methamphetamine, as well as items of drug paraphernalia. Moore was also arrested and taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail. He's charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a handgun by convicted felon, resisting arrest, menacing, and receiving stolen property (firearm).
