The case against a teen accused of fatally shooting two students and wounding several more at Marshall County High School on Jan. 23 will remain in adult court.

On Friday Marshall County Circuit Court Judge James Jameson denied a motion by the defense to move Gabe Parker's case back to juvenile court, saying in his order that the court had jurisdiction to decide on the issue. The case was originally moved to adult court in February.

The Kentucky Attorney General’s Office previously found that the move was constitutional, but allowed the court to decide whether the case would remain in adult court.

Parker is charged with two counts of murder and 14 counts of assault.
