PADUCAH, KY - A McCracken Circuit Court Jury Betti Kern Wednesday recommended a sentence of 24 years in prison after finding her guilty of murder on Tuesday.
The Paducah woman shot and killed 50-year-old David Griffin in her home on Tennessee Street last August.
Prosecuters contended Kern had as much as said she planned to kill Griffin, but the defense maintained she killed him in response to threats and harassment.
Jurors deliberated for about two hours after receiving the case Tuesday afternoon.
