A juvenile faces multiple charges after a traffic stop early Sunday morning.

At approximately 2:09 AM Sunday, McCracken Sheriff's Deputies said they stopped a car on John Puryear Highway for a reported equipment violation. The driver allegedly gave deputies a false name, but he was ultimately identified as being a 17-year-old male that had outstanding warrants.

The juvenile was wanted in connection with a series of vehicle thefts, as well as vehicle break-ins and burglary, that had occurred during the early morning hours of November 6th, at McKeel Equipment on North 8th Street in Paducah. This juvenile as well as others broke into the business, stole merchandise, as well as stealing two pickup trucks. They then went and stole two additional vehicles from the Jacobs Drive area of McCracken County.

Deputies also learned that the car was in fact also stolen at the time of the stop, from a residence located on Clements Street in Paducah. The owner was still asleep and had not noticed that his car had been stolen. The juvenile was also found to be under the influence. He was arrested and charged with the theft of (5) five vehicles, the burglary of McKeel Equipment, DUI, Giving a False Name, as well as other charges.

He was booked into the Juvenile Detention Facility. All of the vehicles that have been stolen by this group of juveniles, have been recovered and returned to their owners.

This make the third juvenile charged in connection with the November 6th crime spree. The sheriff's department is still actively looking for the fourth suspect, who they believe is also a juvenile.
