Wondering if that stash in the attic is trash or treasure? Expert appraisers at the upcoming Kentucky Collectibles Appraisal Fair can help.

The 2017 Kentucky Collectibles Appraisal Fair will be held Friday and Saturday, at the Paducah-McCracken County Convention and Expo Center.

Tickets are $60, which includes two appraisals, followed by a VIP reception with appraisers on June 23; or $25, which includes admission and two appraisals on June 24.

KET’s production crews will be on hand to record appraisals from the fair, which will be broadcast during the series’ sixth season. The appraisal fair will be hosted by Dave Shuffett.

Erin Lowry is the producer for the show, and says she is as interested in the stories behind the items as the items themselves.

"I know that our appraisers really like when you bring things in, bring the papers and all the pictures that go along with all those items. As a producer, I want to hear that fascinating story behind it. The family connections, that's what I'm looking for." Lowry said.

Tickets can be purchased online at KET.org/collectibles or by phone at 1-800-866-0366.

Kentucky Collectibles tells Kentucky stories through the prized antiques, memorabilia and family heirlooms shared by guests for appraisal. The series airs Saturdays at 4:30/3:30 pm on KET.

Kentucky Collectibles is a KET production.
