MCCRACKEN CO, KY - A LaCenter man was not injured Thursday evening when he lost control of his vehicle, crashed and overturned on US-62 in McCracken County.

At around 9:00 p.m. Thursday, McCracken County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched along with Concord Fire Dept. and Mercy Regional Ambulance for a vehicle that had overturned on US-62/Blandville Road near Fisher Road in McCracken County.
According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, the collision investigation concluded that 33-year-old Ricky Tharp of LaCenter, Ky, was traveling westbound on US-62 when he lost control of the vehicle during heavy rain and water pooling on the roadway. Tharp’s truck ran off the shoulder and overturned in a ditch.

Tharp was able crawl from his vehicle and was not injured. The roadway was blocked and traffic diverted for about an hour for cleanup due to the large number of tools and supplies that had been scattered on and along the roadway.
