LaCenter Man Wanted on Check Forgery Charge

Paducah Police seek the public’s help in locating a LaCenter man charged with cashing a forged check.

The treasurer for Mount Kenton Cemetery told police a check was issued to a local business in late April, but was never received by the business. When she checked at the bank, the treasurer was told the check had cleared, but for a substantially larger amount. Investigation revealed the check had been altered and made payable to 29-year-old Allen D. Collier in the amount of $951.43.

A warrant has been obtained charging Collier with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
