Ledbetter Man Killed in Crash on US 45

A Ledbetter man was killed Sunday afternoon in a McCracken County crash.



At around 3:00 pm Sunday, Kentucky State Police respond to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of US 45 North and State Route 1241 in McCracken County. After a preliminary investigation, it was determined that 69-year-old Ronald Peterson, of Ledbetter was traveling west on State Route 1241, and failed to yield the right of way at the intersection of US 45 North. 33-year-old Victor Ramirez, of Wenatchee, WA was traveling south on US 45 North and struck the passenger side of Peterson's vehicle, forcing both vehicles across the intersection and into a guardrail.



Peterson was pronounced dead at the scene by the McCracken County Deputy Coroner. Ramirez and five passengers were taken to Lourdes Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injures.
