Lone Oak Car Crash Injures Mayfield Teenager

A two vehicle accident in Lone Oak left one person from Mayfield with injuries.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, the crash took place at the intersection of Lone Oak Road and Friendship Road. Matthew Dillon, 18, of Mayfield was driving in the northbound lanes when he began slowing down for a stoplight change. Dillon's vehicle was rear ended by a vehicle being driven by Matthew McElwayne, 17, of Mayfield.

Deputies say a passenger in McElwayne's vehicle, Emily Elliot, 16, of Benton was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
