Three people were injured Monday afternoon in a crash on Lone Oak Road.

Just after 4:00 pm Monday, McCracken County Sheriff's Deputies and Lone Oak Firefighters responded to the intersection of Lone Oak Road and Lakeview Drive to a report of a two vehicle crash with injuries.

Police said their investigation showed that a passenger bus driven by 55-yr-old Stephanie Rupp, of Brookport IL and passengers from Jackson Oaks Assisted Living Facility; 82-year-old John Tefft; 89-year-old James Smith; 76-year-old Gordon Thoren; 88-year-old Bill Ross; and 91-year-old Mary Newberry, were traveling on Lone Oak Road and had come to a stop at the intersection of Lakeview Drive, when they were rear-ended by 67-year-old Nita Bauer, of Paducah.

Tefft, Thoren and Newberry were taken to a local hospital for treatment of what police say were non-life threatening injuries.

One lane of Lone Oak Rd was closed for about 30 minutes for cleanup and investigation.
