McCracken County Sheriff's Deputies were called by Joan Bruyens Thursday after she discovered two of her diamond rings were missing. She told detectives that 42-year-old Robert E. Yates had recently been at her home, and the rings were worth over $2,100.
Detectives learned during their investigation that the rings had been pawned for $200 at a local pawn shop. Yates was determined to be responsible for the alleged theft and pawning of the rings. He was arrested and taken to McCracken County Jail.
