A Paducah man has been arrested for cultivating marijuana.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department responded to a call for assistance about 10:50 pm on Friday, and came to a home on Parkwood Drive in the Reidland area. While they were there, deputies say they discovered that 24-year-old Robert Copeland was growing marijuana in a room he used in his mother's home.

Deputies seized the plants, and also found drug paraphernalia in the home. Copeland was arrested on a felony charge of cultivating five or more marijuana plants and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the McCracken County Jail.
