Man Arrested on Marijuana Trafficking Charge

A Paducah man was arrested Thursday and is accused of having over six pounds of marijuana.

The Paducah Police Department's drug detectives got information about possible drugs being delivered to 47-year-old Charles R. Anderson of Homewood Avenue, so they obtained a search warrant. Detectives went to the home about 6:00 pm and the search yielded six pounds of marijuana and more than $1,200, which police believe to be the proceeds of drug sales.

Police say Anderson had a handgun in his waistband when they arrived, and two other guns were found in the home. 

Anderson was arrested and taken to McCracken County Jail. He faces charges of trafficking in marijuana and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
