Man Charged With Stealing from Employer

PADUCAH - A Paducah man was arrested on Monday for allegedly stealing money from his employer.

According to the Paducah Police Department, Landon Owen with Frutta Bowls contacted authorities after noticing that several deposits were missing. 

Detectives obtained a work schedule to determine which employees had access to the safe during the time the money went missing.

Officers learned that 44-year-old Michael L. Krolak had been the closing manager on the night before the theft was discovered. During an interview with detectives, Krolak allegedly admitted that he took the deposits.

Krolak was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking of $500 or more, but less than $10,000. He was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
