Man Charged with Alleged Rape of 13-Year-old Girl

A man already in McCracken County Jail has now been charged with rape.

According to the Paducah Police Department, 20-year-old Daquan O. Askew was charged Thursday morning, after an investigation into a mother's complaint. The woman told a police detective that Askew had sex with her 13-year-old daughter twice. 

The investigation determined that the alleged incidents took place between mid-October and November 14. That's when Askew was sentenced to four years in jail after being convicted of third-degree burglary and fourth-degree assault (domestic violence). 

Askew now faces a charge of second-degree rape.
