A man yelling for help in a ditch in the Reidland area got the attention of police, and he's now in trouble.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, deputies say it all started Monday morning just after 1:30, when 45-year-old Christopher Wray was found in the 300 block of Holmes Drive in a road side ditch.

Deputies say an investigation showed that Wray was allegedly attempting to use a handheld flashlight and operate a motorcycle at the same time, because the headlight in the motorcycle apparently wasn't working.  That's when deputies say Wray missed a curve and ran off the roadway into a ditch.

Wray was taken to Baptist Health Paducah for treatment of his injuries.

Wray was cited for improper equipment, no motorcycle license, expired operator's license, license to be in possession, no registration plate, no registration receipt, failure to produce insurance card and failure to transfer a motor vehicle.
