Paducah Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a man suspected of passing counterfeit $100 bills at two local businesses.

A manager at Books-a-Million told Detective Justin Crowell that a white man wearing a ball cap and camouflage jacket came into the store on January 6 and shopped for about an hour. Before leaving, the man bought merchandise valued at $17 and paid with a $100 bill.

Crowell examined the bill at Regions Bank, and learned that another $100 bill with the same serial number had been passed at the Five Star convenience store at the intersection of James Sanders Blvd. and Hinkleville Road.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Paducah Police at 270-444-8550 or Crime Stoppers at 443-TELL.
