The folks at Martha's Vineyard are getting ready to serve another community Thanksgiving feast, and they need your help.

Martha Bell, who along with many volunteers has been providing free meals to hungry people for a quarter of a century, will continue the tradition this year. More than 150 turkeys are on the menu, along with all the fixings and desserts that would make anyone's mouth water.

During an interview on the Greg Dunker show Bell said it's always been her passion to help others. She's been feeding people hearty meals for a long time now, but says it's become increasingly difficult to pay the power bill. "During Thanksgiving our utilities run real high. It gets up to $2200 a month, but we're here all year. We're not just here on Thanksgiving." Bell said. She said volunteers are always needed to help cook, serve and deliver meals, but monetary donations are also gladly accepted to help pay the bills.

Donations can be sent to the new Martha's Vineyard location at 900 north 32nd Street in Paducah. Bell says even after all of these years she still gets up every morning with an urge to help people. "God gave me the vision to start it. I've never seen a day yet that I didn't want to get here and get things done. I guess I just love people, and I love helping those that need help."

To have a meal delivered, call 270-441-2339 before Thursday. Deliveries begin at 10:30 am Thursday and guests can dine in from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm.
