McConnell to Visit Paducah Today

PADUCAH, KY - Senator Mitch McConnell will be in Paducah today, where he will participate in a couple of events.

McConnell will be joined by Joe DeMike, Head of Small Business Advocacy for Google, at the "Kentucky Get Your Business Online" program, sponsored by Google. It will take place from 9:30 am - noon at the Julian Carroll Convention Center. The program helps drive economic growth by giving area businesses free tools and resources to establish a website, find new customers, and grow their business.

Immediately after that, McConnell is scheduled to speak at the Paducah Rotary Club meeting, in the River Room of the Four Rivers Performing Arts Center, from noon to 1:00 pm.

  Wow Dan guess you really take it to heart that someone would suggest that Mitch is a liar and crook? He your buddy? Well that is ok none of us are perfect. And since I can't find a response for you on the web (sarcasm) here is one from the top of my head. I haven't gone to any political rallies, functions, or debates in many many years. I stopped when I realized they are ALL liars and thieves. I don't believe in any of them. My belief is that the rich and big business run this country not We the People. Also that if our founding fathers were alive today that they would have themselves another revolution with the way our government has become. Sorry you don't like my opinon of your buddy Mitch but like I said my opinon. You can like him all you want.

  Durbin never has a shortage of campaign cash and Obama raised the most money of any candidate for any office in history in 2008. If that doesn't bother you then you have no reasonable quarrel with McConnell's fund raising. Of course, if some people didn't have double standards they would have no standards at all...

  Senators Durbin and Obama from nearby Illinois also worked very hard to make George W. Bush a one term president. Were they wrong to do that? Of course, Obama wasn't a U.S. Senator for most of Bush's tenure as President but we won't hold his utter lack of experience against him in this discussion. McConnell's first responsibility is to his constituents, and that he does better than any other Senator in the tri-state (Illinois, Kentuck and Missouri). If you want to see a Senator that puts his party over everything, including his constituents, look at Durbin...

  Mitch needs to work for all of the people of america and not just for his party.He is not trying to look at the future for a better america.He wants to be in total control of everything that is going on in washington and this is why he does not like Obama.If you want a better country you should work for fair trade with other countries and not give all of our jobs away like they have done.We should not only ask Mitch where has all the jobs gone to we should ask both parties why does everything hast to be made in other countries and not in america.Do you believe that they would tell you the truth.This is why america is in the biggest mess that we have ever been in.

  Well about 4 years ago he said his one goal was to make Obama a one term president. Not move the country along mind you, but to make Obama a one termer. Let's see if his one goal for the past 4 years works out for him in November. Then maybe he can try to make Kentucky and this country better.

  Mitch McConnell gets more accomplished for Paducah and the rest of Kentucky than any other politician right now. At least he isn't like Senator Durbin that cares more about the people of San Francisco than he does the people of Illinois. Besides, what exactly is a buffon?
