The McCracken County Fiscal Court approved the new tax rates for the 2018 fiscal year at their meeting Monday evening.
The new rates are as follows, (the first rate is for Real Estate and the second for Tangible Property):

Mental Health-0.012, 0.012
McCracken County Extension Service-0.03443, 0.090936
McCracken County Public Library-0.061, 0.061
Paducah Junior College-0.016, 0.016
McCracken County Schools-0.538, 0.538
Concord Fire District-0.075, 0.075
Hendron Fire District-0.0729, 0.0729
Lone Oak Fire District-0.047, 0.047
Melber-New Hope Fire District-0.043, 0.043
Reidland-Farley Fire District-0.071, 0.071
West McCracken Fire District-0.069, 0.069
In addition to approving the tax rates, the court approved 21 other orders, including the closure of Tilford Underwood Drive between Bleich Road and Lakeview Drive in Lone Oak, and approved a resolution adopting the Jackson Purchase Regional Multi-Jurisdictional Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan.
They appointed Sean Walsh to the Ethics Commission for a term expiring in September of 2022, ordered cash transfers in the amount of $298,066.95 to pay approved county bills, approved the claims register from September 10th to September 24th to show county bills in the amount of $410,884.04, and gave the second reading of Ordinance 2018-06, dealing with the remittance of funds from the County Court Clerk's office.
McCracken County Treasurer, Pam Thompson, was also sworn in by Judge Executive Bob Leeper.
