The McCracken County Fiscal Court met in their regular session on Monday evening.

The court discussed current projects and approved the following: cash transfers to pay County bills in the amount of $283,828.52, the voucher claims register from April 9th to April 23rd showing county bills in the amount of $523,224.05, and the hiring of seven new employees. They also accepted the resignations of six, and promoted or re-assigned three. 

In other court orders, they accepted the report of delinquent tax collection and distributions for March 2018 in the amount of $5,109.87, approved the Judge Executive to be authorized to enter into an agreement with the McCracken County Board of Education and St. John Catholic Church for the transportation of non-public school children to and from school, and approved paying Jim Smith Contracting $19,784.43 for the Maxon Road improvement project.

The court accepted bids from Wood Brothers Excavation for the Old Hinkleville Road project, $6,250.00, Better All Around for repair of Floral Hall, $6,800.00, and also repair and painting at the McCracken County Court House, $21,500.00, and AAA Fencing for fence work at Carson Park, $42,356.59. 

They also conducted the first reading of Ordinance No. 2018-02, which creates a new employment classification of Bailiff-Grade 4, setting out the conditions precedent to qualification for the position, along with the rate of compensation.

The next scheduled meeting of the court will be May 7th.
