State Police say 56-year-old Danny Coons is charged with 20 counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor. He was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
Coons was arrested as the result of an ongoing undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. Detectives were led to Coons' home after a computer in the home was seen online with files indicative of child sexual exploitation.
The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Coon’s home on Wednesday by the KSP Electronic Crime Branch and KSP Post 1 detectives. Also assisting in the investigation was the Paducah Police Dept. and the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office. Equipment used in the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s Forensic Laboratory for examination.
