Two teens face burglary charges, after police say they admitted to breaking into a school building in West Paducah.

On Wednesday, the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department began investigating a burglary at the Old Heath High School building, located at 4336 Metropolis Lake Road. School officials told police that food items were taken and parts of the building were vandalized. Police said their investigation revealed two suspects, 18-year-old Matthew Hayes and 18-year-old Brady Arnett, both of West Paducah. On Thursday, sheriff’s deputies and detectives responded to a second burglary at the school.

Detectives found Hayes and Arnett Thursday afternoon at a home on Nace Avenue. Police said both suspects admitted to the burglaries during questioning. Hayes and Arnett were arrested and both face two counts of 3rd degree burglary. They were booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.
