McCracken HS Names Three Assistant Principals

McCracken County Public Schools has named three of the five assistant principals for McCracken County High School. Matthew Houser, Jon Reid and Victor Zimmerman have been selected to serve as assistant principals.

Matthew Houser began his career as a classroom teacher at Hendron-Lone Oak Elementary School in 2006, worked as an assistant principal of Lone Oak High School and served as the school’s principal for the past year. Houser holds a B.S. in elementary education and a M.A. in school administration from Murray State University.

“I am very proud to be part of the McCracken County High School administrative team at such an exciting time for our district,” Houser says. “I am excited to work with the students, staff and community as we begin this journey together as Mustangs.”

Jon Reid has worked in McCracken County Public Schools since 2008, having most recently served as principal of Heath High School. Prior to his time at Heath, Reid served as assistant principal and instructional coach at Lone Oak High School, and as assistant principal of Hendron-Lone Oak Elementary School. Reid holds a B.S. in history from Georgetown College and a M.A. in education from the University of Kentucky.

“I am excited about my future role as assistant principal for McCracken County High School,” says Reid. “I enthusiastically anticipate this opportunity to serve the youth of McCracken County and being a part of the great adventure that lies ahead.”

Victor Zimmerman has served as a school administrator since 2003, most recently as the principal of Reidland High School. Zimmerman holds a B.S. in visual design and a M.A. in school administration from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX and a Rank I from Western Kentucky University.

“McCracken County High School offers great opportunities for our students,” says Zimmerman. “I look forward to working with the students and staff in the upcoming year as we make this important transition.”

McCracken County High School principal Michael Ceglinski states: “These three men have a strong knowledge of what we wish to accomplish at McCracken County High School. Each bring a set of skills that will help us achieve the ambitious goals we have for our students.”

McCracken County High School brings together students from Heath, Lone Oak and Reidland high school. The first day of school for McCracken County Public Schools is August 9.
