McCracken Names Cheer Coach, Marching Band Dir.

PADUCAH, KY - The cheerleading coach and marching band director for McCracken County High School were recently announced.
Jennifer McKenzie was named head cheerleading coach for McCracken County High School. McKenzie teaches mathematics at Reidland High School and has coached the Reidland High School cheer program for 14 years, leading the program to six KAPOS State Championships and six finishes in the top five at the UCA Nationals, including winning the National Championship in 2012 as a small co-ed team. McKenzie is a graduate of Reidland High School and the University of Kentucky.
"I am excited to start the journey of building a winning competitive program at McCracken County High School," says McKenzie. "I can't wait to honor the traditions from Heath, Lone Oak and Reidland, while we create new traditions that bring excitement and crowd involvement to the ballgames at McCracken County High School."
Stephen Page was named director of the McCracken County High School Mustang Marching Band. Page has taught high school band for 14 years and currently teaches band, choir, guitar and humanities at Reidland High School. Page previously worked with the Henderson County High School band program. Page is a graduate of Reidland High School and has earned degrees from Murray State University and the University of Louisville.
"With the support of the administration, the families and the community, I expect the McCracken County High School band program to soon grown into something of which Western Kentucky can be proud." says Page. "Band is an activity that offers an opportunity for every student. Within a few years we don't want to just have one of the best band programs in Kentucky, we expect to have one of the best band programs in the nation."
McCracken County High School will open in the fall of 2013.
