McCracken Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrests

PADUCAH - Two people were arrested Thursday night after a traffic stop in McCracken County.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office says a deputy stopped a vehicle at around 9 p.m. at the intersection of Schneidman Road and Rosewood Drive. During the course of the stop deputies reportedly found methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Both the driver of the vehicle, 41-year-old Robert Norton of Mayfield, and passenger, 37-year-old Joseph McGinnis of Paducah, were arrested and booked into the McCracken County Jail.

Norton and McGinnis are both charged with possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. norton also faces speeding, failure or improper signal, and failure to wear a seatbelt charges.
