A Lawrenceburg man was arrested Thursday on drug and other charges in McCracken County after a traffic stop.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office says a deputy stopped a vehicle shortly before 4 p.m. driven by 46-year-old Johnathon Richardson on Wayne Sullivan Drive for traffic violations.

A K-9 unit was on scene and conducted an open air sniff of the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle deputies reportedly found a handgun that had been reported stolen. They also found meth and a digital scale.

Richardson was arrested and booked into the McCracken County Detention Center on charges of receiving a stolen firearm, possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, speeding, and failure to maintain insurance.
