McCracken Traffic Stop Leads to Six Drug Arrests

Six people in McCracken County were arrested late Monday night and early Tuesday morning on various drug offenses.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Hendron Road at 10:30 pm on Monday. The vehicle was driven by 52-year-old Michael Williams, of McCracken County. Deputies determined that Williams was under the influence of methamphetamine, and was arrested.

During the investigation, deputies learned that Williams had left a home on Schneidman Road, and a search warrant was obtained for the home. 

Five people on the property,  were all arrested after detectives seized a large quantity of crystal methamphetamine, hydrocodone, xanax, marijuana, scales, smoking pipes, syringes and other assorted paraphernalia during a search of the residence. They were identified as 42-year-old Jennifer King of McCracken County, 48-year-old Daniel Beard of Kevil, 31-year-old Sara Pickard of Gilbertsville, 44-year-old Cassidy Hawkins of Paducah, and 49-year-old Brian Pickering of Paducah,

Detectives also seized US currency that is believed to be proceeds of illegal drug sales.

In total, detectives seized over 280 grams of crystal methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of more than $28,000.

King was out on bond on a felony receiving stolen property charge, and Hawkins was out on bond on prostitution and felony drug offenses.

All six were taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
