McCracken Woman Dies in Lawnmower Accident

Authorities say a McCracken County woman is dead after being crushed under her lawnmower.

According to The Paducah Sun, 63-year-old Connie Mayfield was attempting to mow a steep hill on Saturday when the mower flipped and landed on top of her.

Deputy Sheriff Cory Golightly said Mayfield was discovered around 2:40 p.m. by a neighbor, who told responders she wasn't breathing.

Mayfield was pronounced dead at the scene.
