Merger Supporter to Speak at Chamber Breakfast
By WestKyStar Staff
PADUCAH, KY - A vocal supporter of the proposed McCracken County-Paducah City merger will be speaking at an upcoming event in Paducah.

The Paducah Sun reports that John Williams Jr. will be presenting “Why Merger?” at the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce’s breakfast meeting Sept. 6 at 7:30 a.m.

AT&T is sponsoring the Power in Partnership breakfast event, which will take place at the Julian Carroll Convention Center.

Williams, and other members of Paducah McCracken United, Inc., have been vocal proponents of the city-county merger proposal that will appear on the November ballot. Williams’ speech will address questions and explain why he thinks voters should vote “Yes” to merge the McCracken County and Paducah governments.

Tickets to the breakfast meeting are $15 for Chamber members, $25 for non-members. Atendees are asked to RSVP by Sept. 4.
