The pool is closed to the public on Mondays. From Tuesday, August 4 through Sunday, August 9, the hours of operation for the pool will be reduced. It will be open from 1 until 5 pm on those days.
The pool was scheduled to close on Sunday, August 2. Recreation Superintendent Amie Clark says, “Since the first day of school for the Paducah Public School System is not until August 11, we are able to extend the pool season. Many of our lifeguards are high school students and still will be available so that folks can enjoy another week of fun and sun at the pool.”
Friday evening, July 31, will be the final Family Swim Night for the season. The pool will be open 6:30-8 pm with $1 off general admission. All children must be accompanied by a supervising adult. The Concession Stand also will be open.
General pool admission is $5 for adults and for children at least five years old; $3 for children four years old and younger; and $3 for seniors. The Parks Services Department reminds the public that swim diapers are prohibited in the pool. All swimmers must be toilet trained. Children in swim diapers can play in the spray pad area.
Also note that the Robert Coleman Spraypark located at Husbands Street and Walter Jetton Drive is open through Labor Day or until the weather turns chilly. The free spraypark is open daily from 10 am until 8 pm.
