Two Paducah residents were hurt in a Thursday afternoon crash on Old Mayfield Road.

At around 1:30 pm Thursday, McCracken County Sheriff's Deputies were called to a crash with injuries in the 5800 block of Old Mayfield Road.  Police said 53-year-old Kathy Adams of Paducah was stopped at 5815 Old Mayfield Road delivering mail, when 70-year-old James Beaver, also of Paducah failed to see Adams stopped in the roadway and rear-ended her. The impact forced Adams off the road and into a utility pole.

Both Beaver and Adams were taken to area hospitals for treatment non life threatening injuries. The roadway was shut down for a little over an hour for investigation and cleanup of the scene.
