The Paducah Area Transit System has been awarded a grant from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

According to a KYTC press release, PATS will receive $850,000, which will be used to purchase two new vehicles.

Grants totaling $7 million were distributed among seventeen organizations to improve bus transit services in the Commonwealth.

Fulton County Transit Authority announced last week they had received one of these grants. They are getting $454,000 to purchase ten vehicles and $400,000 to purchase and renovate new office space.
