The final results are in for the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2014 Annual Membership and Total Resource campaign.  The Chamber says their campaign exceeded their goal and recruited 127 new members during the four week campaign.  The total membership of the Paducah Chamber is 1,040 businesses and individuals.  This makes the Paducah Area Chamber the fifth largest Chamber in Kentucky, behind Louisville, Northern Kentucky, Lexington, and less than 100 businesses behind Bowling Green.

Bryan Carner with US Bank and chair-elect of the Chamber Board served as Chair of the campaign.  "I want to thank the many volunteers and businesses that contributed to our campaign drive,” said Carner.  “Gaining 127 new members and exceeding 1,000 total members are significant benchmarks for the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce.  None of that would be possible without the time and effort from those volunteers."

The top producer for the volunteers involved with the campaign was David Morse with KeeFORCE.  David recruited seven new members and recruited 18 renewal businesses who joined during the 2013 campaign to renew their membership for 2014.  Second place went to Todd Myers with CFSB and third place was Miranda Calender with Marquette Transportation.

The top team was KeeFORCE with Jim Dudley as captain.  All team members on Dudley’s team participated by either recruiting a new member or through securing sponsorships or renewals for the Chamber.  Dudley’s team will receive the first “traveling trophy” award for Overall Team Winner.  The team captained by Tammy Zimmerman with Payment Plus received second place and the US Bank team with Crissy Bundren as captain finished third.

The campaign celebration was held on September 18 hosted by Purple Toad Winery located at 4275 Old US Highway 45 South.

The Paducah Chamber is the region’s largest business advocacy organization with more than 1,000 businesses as members.  The Chamber has a strong partnership base with local businesses – both small and large, manufacturers, industries, local governments, non-profit organizations and individuals.  About two-thirds of the Chamber members represent businesses with 15 employees or less.

In 2011 the Paducah Chamber was awarded the Chamber of the Year by the American Chamber of Commerce Executives.  The Paducah Chamber also is a 4-Star Accredited Chamber by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. This prestigious honor puts the Chamber among the top 10% of chambers nationwide.

The Chamber says membership is open throughout the year.
