Paducah Club Closed after Raid

A private club was closed down Friday following a raid by Paducah Police, the City Fire/Inspection Department and the state health department.

Detectives with the police department's Drug and Vice Enforcement unit initiated an investigation after receiving complaints of illegal alcohol sales at Ebony Ltd., located in the 700-block of Oscar Cross Blvd.

A search and inspection of the building revealed health code and building code violations, and the business was shut down.

Officers seized a substantial amount of liquor and beer because the business is not licensed to sell alcohol.

Charges are pending and the investigation is ongoing.
