Paducah Crash Claims Two Lives

A single-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning claimed the lives of two people.

Paducah Police say that 23-year-old Jose Gomez, of Memphis, and his passenger, 25 year old Joshua Gunter of Metairie, LA, were southbound on South Fifth Street when Gomez failed to stop where the street ends, and continued on into a wooded area. The vehicle hit a tree, traveled down an embankment, and caught fire.

Both Gomez and Gunter were pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the accident is continuing.
