Paducah Man Charged with Cocaine Trafficking

A police investigation led to the Wednesday arrest of a Paducah man on Cocaine trafficking charges.
 
According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, during the month of April detectives received information regarding 31-year-old Robert L. Pennington selling quantities of Cocaine. Detectives conducted an investigation that involved making a Cocaine purchase from Pennington.
 
On Wednesday, detectives with the Sheriff’s Department reportedly saw Pennington driving in the 600 block of South 9th Street. Pennington was arrested at 5:00 pm after his vehicle was stopped.

Detectives seized an undisclosed amount of US currency from Pennington which they believed came from illegal drugs. During a search of Pennington, police said evidence of trafficking in cocaine was also found.
 
Pennington’s vehicle was also seized. He was on felony probation at the time of his arrest for trafficking in cocaine. He is charged with Trafficking Cocaine 2nd or Subsequent Offense.

Pennington was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
