McCracken County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 32-year-old Samuel David Wayne Hunter Wednesday on chages of 1st degree rape of a child.
Deputies said the investigation began June 6, when deputies were contacted by a local pediatrician about a child testing positive for a sexually transmitted infection. The victim identified Hunter, a family acquaintance, as the suspect. According to deputies, a blood test showed Hunter tested positive for the same STI as the child.
Hunter was booked into McCracken County Jail. Deputies said the investigation is ongoing.
