A Paducah man has been charged with stealing a moped.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office says detectives went to a home Monday in the 1500 block of Yarbro Lane to investigate recent thefts. While there, detectives spoke to 50-year-old Ronald "Ronnie" Churchwell, who was visiting his father.

While speaking with Churchwell, detectives reportedly found a moped that was similar to the description of a stolen moped. Detectives also located two more mopeds on a utility trailer. Detectives determined one of the mopeds had been stolen from a storage unit building in West McCracken County in October of 2017.

Churchwell was arrested and booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail on a charge of receiving stolen property under $10,000.
