A Paducah man was arrested Wednesday on burglary charges.

McCracken County Sheriff's Deputies responded shortly before 4 am Wednesday to a report of a burglary at a home in the 4600 block of Schneidman Road. Deputies say the resident reported waking up and hearing someone's voice in the home, and then saw someone leave through a bedroom window. Deputies said the intruder had gone through several dresser drawers while inside the home.

Deputies arrested 19-year-old Jay Toney, of Paducah after he reportedly confessed to the burglary during an interview. He is charged with second-degree burglary.

Police said Toney used to live at the home, but he had moved out more than a year ago and did not have a right to be there.
