Paducah Man Faces Meth Charges After Traffic Stop

MCCRACKEN COUNTY - A traffic stop early Tuesday morning led to a Paducah man's arrest on methamphetamine and other charges.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office says a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for traffic violations on John Puryear Drive at approximately 1:45 am. During the course of the stop a vehicle search was conducted.

During the search, the deputy reportedly found methamphetamine and items of drug paraphernalia. As a result, 43-year-old Steven L Johnson of Paducah was arrested and transported to the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Johnson is charged with possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance, license to be in possession, failure to produce insurance card and rear license not illuminated.
