A motorcycle crash on North Friendship Road in Paducah injured two people.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says deputies were called to the scene at around 8:30 Friday evening at the intersection of North Friendship and Woodbine.

Deputies say a deer apparently ran out in front of the motorcycle that was being driven by Gary Miller, Paducah.  Miller told deputies that he tried to avoid hitting the deer but was unable to.  He lost control of the motorcycle, causing him to turn the bike over.  Miller's passenger, Laura Miller, Paducah, was thrown from the motorcycle.

Both are reported to have sustained only minor injuries.  They were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Deputies say both the riders were wearing helmets.
